We have significant expertise in the monitoring and assessment of groundwater contaminant impact at a wide range of facilities including landfills, and manufacturing and storage facilities. We have specific expertise in the field of groundwater geochemistry, including monitored natural attenuation (MNA), conceptual hydrogeological model development, and the use of two and three dimensional numerical models such as MODFLOW to simulate the fate and transport of contaminants in the groundwater.
Our services including well installation, development, monitoring, aquifer testing, plume delineation, risk assessment, risk management and remediation. We also have significant experience in evaluation and preparation of submissions regarding Clean Up to The Extent Practicable (CUTEP) and Remediation to the Extent Necessary (RTEN) where remediation is not considered feasible.
We have successfully implemented numerous groundwater remedial strategies including:
-
Groundwater pump and treat systems, including both permanent and portable remedial systems;
-
Pump, treat and re-injection systems; and
-
In-situ solutions – where the contaminated groundwater is treated without extraction.
Peter J Ramsay & Associates has also successfully achieved ‘closure’ in relation to groundwater at a number of sites in order to satisfy regulatory requirements.
